Intern Fashion Friday I’m a pretty thrifty shopper, so I’m a huge fan of secondhand shops, DIY projects and clothing renewal. One of my favorite things to do is go through my wardrobe every couple of months and pull out anything that I haven’t been wearing often and try to find ways to restore it. Whether it’s adding some sort of detailing or cutting it up and turning it into something completely new. I’m also a recovering shopaholic, so it’s been a great way for me to resist the urge to splurge. My recent wardrobe project was a thrifted jean button up shirt. I’ve had it for quite a while, and it was starting to get that worn look, so instead of getting rid of it, I thought why not spice it up a bit? I decided to add some stud detailing to the bottom hem, shoulders and collars. About 100 studs, some bandaged fingers and a couple hours later I’ve got this awesome rocker-style shirt that’s turned into an interesting conversation piece and a great way to turn a basic t-shirt and jeans into something edgier.
