The Miami promotional event (tweeted as #ModellandMiami) was the fourth location on her six stop book tour that began last week. As they would say in Modelland, “It was fierce Dahling.” All of 250+ fans received an autographed copy of Modelland upon their arrival. Five Modelland models of different races –representing the racial ambiguity of Tookie- handed out Smize mask and interacted with guest.  After an interactive posing lesson between the Top Model creator and the elated crowd, Tyra threw on the charm America loves her for.

She walked the audience through her journey of creating Modelland, which started 5 years ago. She spoke in true Tyra Banks fashion with passionate energy, lots of arm movements, and big facial expressions! Wait till you see the pictures, Dahling! She finished up the night walking through the crowd and taking questions.

 The questions varied as much as the demographic of the audience. People from ages 5 to 93 of different shapes, sizes, age, and gender had their questions answered by the fiercest Harvard Business student. Some answers involved her tips for new writers and hopeful entrepreneurs. Other questions covered the success of her company and details about the book. 

“I want people to be entertained first,” Tyra said in her Author video on Modelland’s website. Tyra, also has a deeper reason behind the themes of Modelland, and that is to continue her campaign to “expand the definition of beauty.”
