We Won!
BRINK Magazine was voted “Best Magazine in Orlando 2012” by thedailycity.com readers. Wow, so exciting!
What makes this absolutely amazing is that BRINK was one of the only magazines on that list of nominees not backed by an investor. We’re just a small group of people, taking our time and resources and putting together something we think is special every other month for you, our readers. We’re trying to feature the best that Orlando has to offer (and beyond).
BRINK started out of my own personal need for something more to read and look at in the city of Orlando. I wasn’t relating to any other publications and I was stuck in a career rut. I always dreamed of starting a magazine, so I put together a prototype and got it going. When I put out the first call to contributors and features, the response was fantastic. Plus, I wanted a reason for people to pick up the magazine. That’s when I knew I was on to something. The BRINK platform is simple, to feature entrepreneurs and talents making things happen. With every issue of BRINK, I knew there were people just like me making things happen and taking chances and now, with BRINK, we get an opportunity to feature those very people. BRINK has given me such passion for the city and has created some amazing relationships between us and citizens of Orlando.
Next month, we’re putting out our 20th issue and that number is mind-boggling to me. Sometimes, I think what if the magazine just stopped. But then I get some great email from someone telling me how much they relate to the magazine and how thankful they are for it and we keep going. We will keep going!
BRINK Magazine is only available if advertisers support us. We believe in a perfect marriage between print and digital media. We know you want to hold a copy and show your friends, but unfortunately we cannot always get the magazine out there in your hands due to low advertising. Share the magazine with your friends, tell your favorite businesses and let people know we are here for you.
Thank you so much Orlando!
Thank you so much to The Daily City!
And thank you, reading this now!
